Jana Dahms (she/her) - midwife

After my studies to become a midwife in Göttingen, I quickly returned to my hometown and birthplace Berlin at the beginning of 2012.

I have been working here as a freelance midwife ever since.

In addition to prenatal care and postpartum care, I worked as an attending midwife ("Beleghebamme") at the Martin Luther Hospital and the Sankt Gertrauden Hospital in 2012 and 2013.

Between April 2014 and April 2015 I worked part-time in the delivery room at St. Joseph Hospital in Berlin-Tempelhof.

In 2015 I became a mother myself.

Since then, I have limited my work to pure freelance work without obstetrics and look after parents in pre- and post-natal care.

Since 2022 I work at a gynocologist's practice once a week. (Katrin Klein)

For all pregnancy appointments, I meet with the expectant parents at my practice Tauroggener Straße 43, 10589 Berlin.

Mission statement

My goal as a midwife is to maintain your health and support the normality of pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period.

I look after pregnant women, mothers*, newborns and their families according to your ideas individually, personally, professionally and with enough time.

Mindful, respectful and responsible: I will actively involve you and your family in the care and treatment process.

I see myself as a competent advisor who empowers families to go their own way and make informed decisions.

It is important to me to provide all women* and their families - regardless of their origin, worldview or social status - with the help they need.
